How to contribute

Three steps. No application; a phone or camera and a Wikimedia account are all you need.

    Pick a monument

    There are thousands of registered monuments on the map; pick one near you.

  2. 2

    Take a photo

    Shoot the monument fully and clearly, ideally in daylight; avoid obstructions like cars or signs in front. Add a few close-ups of inscriptions and ornaments.

    Upload

    Sign in with your Wikimedia account and upload; the photo goes to Wikimedia Commons under CC BY-SA.
