One of pictures taken in 2011 of (part of) a han that seems to have changed since. An article in Anatodoly Ajansi has, translated and condensed: "The historical Komesli Inn, located in the Ali Pasha District in the Yakutiye district, which was among the important stops of the Silk Road, one of the most important trade routes of the Saltuk and Ottoman periods, and was once preferred by caravans for rest and accommodation after long journeys, is now a beautiful place for visitors to relieve their work and life fatigue. It serves as a cafe where he spends time. Antique items are also exhibited. Many antique items such as wooden products, household appliances and agricultural tools are also exhibited in the inn, where people have the opportunity to have a good time by drinking tea and coffee and relieving the tiredness of the day. Cem Akmehmetoğlu, the manager of the inn, told AA correspondent that the family, who came to Erzurum from the Komes settlement of Rize, built the inn in the 1800s."
